Nowadays, when energy costs are increasing, the electricity bill of the treatment plant can be a huge burden for businesses. Biodisk (Rotating Biological Contactor) technology provides energy savings of up to 90% compared to classical systems. The system is based on the principle that microorganisms in the biofilm layer formed on GRP disks rotating in a semi-submerged state purify wastewater by contacting it with oxygen.
