Metal plating is a basic environmental protection technology that neutralizes acidic, basic or toxic gases that are prohibited to be released into the atmosphere in the chemical, mining and energy production sectors by transferring them from the gas phase to the liquid phase. Over 99% gas retention efficiency is achieved by simultaneous operation of absorption, chemical neutralization and particle retention mechanisms.

The main purpose of scrubber systems is to maximize the contact surface area between the dirty gas stream and the washing liquid (absorbent). The transition of gases such as SO₂, HCl, NH₃, Cl₂ to the liquid phase is governed by Henry's Law and diffusion principles.

Technical Advantages

  • Packed Tower Design: High surface area/volume ratio with counter current system, Raschig/Pall rings or saddle type fillers.
  • Venturi Scrubber Option: Ideal system for gases with high particle and dust loads, atomizing the washing liquid with a gas speed of 60-120 m/s.
  • Spray Tower: An alternative with low pressure loss for pre-washing or hot gas cooling (quench) without the risk of clogging in very high dust loads.
  • PVDF/PP Material Technology: Polypropylene (PP) up to 80-90°C, PVDF up to 140°C and excellent resistance to aggressive oxidizing environments (chlorine gas, chromic acid).
  • Automatic pH/ORP Dosing: Sensors detecting the saturation of the circulation liquid, automatic caustic/acid dispensing system.
  • Blowdown Control: Automatic wastewater discharge that prevents dissolved salt crystallization and nozzle clogging with a conductivity sensor.
  • Mist Eliminator: Special mesh structures that prevent liquid droplets from escaping into the atmosphere during gas release.
  • Modular Design: Flexible configuration suitable for capacity increase in facility expansion.
